The battle of US 62/82 took place on Friday night at the Ropes Eagles travelled to Meadow to face the Broncos for the district championship. JQT, Bossman, Nick, Mr. Livermore and Ed piled into the Nissan Titan Classic and headed south on the Marshall Sharp Freeway. Batman met us there and we had a great time. The atmosphere was charged with the championship on the line. The Broncos were just too fast for Coach GreenEagle's boys defeating the Eagles 43-14. The Meadow concession stand had some fine products including tamales and brisket wraps, however the lines were too slow. Ropes plays Petersburg next Friday and Meadow plays Spur. Please enjoy some more fine work of JQT.

Garden City vs. Ropes
The Sixman Express returned to Ropesville Poko Lambro Stadium on Friday night for matchup between the Ropes Eagles and the defending Division One State Champion Garden City Bearkats. Both teams struggled with turnovers and miscues. But Garden City took a 30-14 lead midway through the 4th Qtr. Ropes tried to comeback but ran out of time, falling 38-30. The Texas Tech B band (non travel squad) played in the stands during the game. It was very interesting hearing that loud of a band at such a venue. I am sure the Tech band kids had more fun than the "A" team band that was loaded up on a bus and sent to Lawrence, Kansas. The confession stand reported a shortage of ketchup, mustard and pickles due to a run on the facility by the Tech band members. However, someone must have scooted over to the Ampride for supplies.
Now please enjoy the fine photoworks of JQT.

Whitharrall at Ropes
The Six Man Express hit their favorite place on Friday night: Ropesville where the 2-1 Eagles hosted the 2-1 Panthers from Whitharrall. Both teams have high expectations. Ropes suffered a 56-12 pounding at the hands of Ira Bulldogs last week while the Panthers stuffed Whiteface 62-44.
Coach GreenEagle had his team ready to play jumping out to a 30-0 lead before the Panthers could score early in the second quarter. The Panthers must have had a poor week of practice because they never got into any sort of rhythm offensively and had little success stopping the Eagles on defense.
The game ended with 2:24 in the third quarter when the Eagles 45'ed the Panthers. The Express had a full crew of Ed, Ed, Jr., JQT, Bossman, Batman and our newest member: Long Don Silver. Confession stand was good- although for a $3 sausage wrap you should get more than 1/2 a sausage.
Now please enjoy some of the fine art of JQT.

#65 catching a pass? That's right, everyone is an eligible receiver in Six Man.

Ropes has a sizable marching band for a school its size. The halftime show had an Native American theme with teepees in the background and the drum major dressed up like Pocohontas, or maybe Sacajawea?
