The Six Man Express opened the 2011 season by visiting Meadow where the state ranked Broncos hosted the Grady Wildcats. Grady pounded Sanderson 48-0 in Week Zero while Meadow defeated Spur 42-28. First thing we noticed was Grady only had 4 subs while Meadow had at least 10. Meadow jumped out to a 38-0 lead in the first half but Grady did not quit. The Wildcats got on the board at the end of half with the score 38-6. In the third quarter they kept battling but could not overcome the slow start falling 74-30.
The Broncos have a lot of speed and converted 7 of 10 PATs while the Wildcats missed 5. But the Wildcats showed a lot of heart. The game could have ended early in the third quarter but Coach Brad Cox would not let his boys quit.
The weather was great. Temps at kickoff were in the mid 80s with a nice breeze. Parking was very easy. We set up to the south of the endzone behind the scoreboard. JQT and I were joined by Bossman, his son Nick and his friend. Meadow had a brand new concession stand which I assume was constructed with bond money. They had excellent sausage wraps, nachos, baked potatoes and soft drinks for $1.
Please enjoy some of the fine work of JQT Photographics.
This kid stepped out of bounds but the ref called it a touchdown anyway. I guess Coach Allison didn't throw his red flag.
